About me
I am a native West Virginian who grew up in Berkeley County. My professional resume includes receiving a B.A. in Exercise Science from Marshall University in 1990, and graduating from the Virginia School of Massage in 1998. I hold certification from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
I worked in the exercise arena for many years as a fitness director and personal trainer. Exercise has been a strong force in my life and has helped shape my massage therapy practice.
I have been a practicing licensed massage therapist for more than a decade. Through the years I have offered my massage to clients in the spa, my own practice, and hospice care. I am an instructor with the new massage therapy program at James Rumsey Technical Institute.
Back Acres debuted in 2002, and along the way I have been voted "Best Massage Therapist" in Martinsburg Journal Reader's Poll. I enjoy owning and operating my own massage studio. Its flexibility works well for my clients and my young family.
I am married to a wonderful Berkeley County science teacher and we have two children. We have always enjoyed exploring WV with our family and attending local community events to experience our area's cultural diversity and history.
